The K6-3 ALTYN is a Russian special forces helmet.
Trivia
- In operation aftermath, there was a glitch where the helmet was mistaken as a solid block and and as such made the players wearing it virtually immune from shots to the head. It has since been fixed.
- This is often mistaken as the Level 3 Spetznaz helmet seen in PUBG but the one in PUBG is actually another variation of the ALTYN family of helmets.
- Additionally, inexperienced players in the world of military equipment often call it a welding mask due to the similar appearance and quite frankly, ex-military civilian owned helmets can be and have been used as welding masks with modifications to the visor to suit the job.
