Vests

Vests are tactical items worn on and around the player's torso. They are cosmetic items and do not affect character performance in any way.

While Chest Rigs lack protective qualities in real life, they sacrifice protection for load-bearing capacity. Chest rigs come in all shapes and sizes, some capable of customization and others preconfigured for a certain mission set. BRM5's chest rigs are made up of the latter.

Slick Rig
The Slick Rig provides the user with a few mags and a radio. It has limited customization options though, only offering different camos and the option to equip a backpack. It costs 492.
Rekrut Rig
The Rekrut Rig sports several large pouches holding magazines, communications gear, and general purpose items. It costs 585, and cannot equip any accessories, including backpacks.
Arbiter IV
The Arbiter IV is an Australian chest rig sporting three magazine pouches. It is a quest reward from Corporal Nguyen.

In the real world, Body Armor Systems/Plate Carriers are designed to defeat ballistic projectiles by housing plates and soft armor rated to a certain threat level. Most of these vests are capable of bearing combat load, using PALS webbing or other attachment methods to do so. In-game, players have more customization options than just the vest itself, as pouches can be attached in a number of areas.

MPC
The MPC (Minimalist Plate Carrier) is an American plate carrier with a no-frills platebag design and a thick cummerbund. An epinephrine autoinjector populates the leftmost PALS column. It costs 1388.
MPC 2.0
The MPC 2.0 is an improved, lighter variant of the MPC plate carrier. It costs 3400.
MPC 2.0 (Recce)
The MPC 2.0 (Recce) is a variant of the MPC 2.0, featuring mag pouches, a radio pouch, and a large universal pouch with the Airborne Recon Patrol (ARP) insignia on it. It costs nothing and comes with the Airborne Recon Pack.
CVS
The CVS (Configurable Vest System) is an American plate carrier that features squared off platebags and a 3-band skeletal cummerbund. It can equip virtually all vest customization items to include subabdominal accessories. It costs 3103.
OBAS-QR
The OBAS-QR (Operator Body Armor System - Quick Release) is an American body armor vest. Being an older design, it has relatively high bulk and profile. The OBAS-QR can equip all varieties of accessories. It costs 1440.
Brigandine
The Brigandine is a Belgian heavy body armor system. It features neck protection and impressive amounts of coverage. It costs 2800.
6B45
The 6B45 is a Russian body armor system. Designed around Russian-spec body armor inserts, the 6B45 provides protection around the wearer's front, back, neck, and sides. Available in EMR. It costs 932.
Spartan II
The Spartan II is a Russian plate carrier. Features a wire-based quick release system similar to the OBAS-QR but houses Russian armor inserts. Available in EMR. It costs 998.

Black
A very dark solid color. The majority of equipment comes in black by default.
Tan
A solid color ideal for arid environments.
Green
A solid color ideal for woodland environments.
VariCam
A camouflage pattern ideal for temperate environments.
EMR
A camouflage pattern ideal for lush environments.

Ammunition pouches are designed to hold magazines and other forms of ammunition carriage.

Mag pouch (Open, USGI)
The open USGI mag holds 5.56 NATO cartridge magazines. It is a USGI magazine in a pouch that covers the bottom half of the magazine. the magazine is held in with an elastic strap. Each costs 100.
Mag pouch (Open, 6L23)
The open 6L23 mag holds magazines for all your AK platforms. It is quite similar to the open USGI magazine pouch. The magazine size is the same but without the indents. It is also held in with elastic straps. Each costs 100.
Mag pouch (pistol)
The pistol mag pouch is designed to hold pistol magazines. Each costs 75.
Mag pouch (Closed, USGI)
The closed USGI mag holds 5.56 NATO cartridge magazines. It is a USGI magazine in a pouch that covers both halves of the magazine. the magazine is held in with an elastic strap. Each costs 100.
SAW pouch
A pouch to hold machine gun ammunition. Each costs 200.
Mag Pouches (Closed, MP5)
Two pouches to hold MP5 ammunition. Each costs 200.
Mag pouch (Closed, 6L23)
The closed 6L23 mag holds magazines for all your AK platforms. It looks less like a box than the 2x ERMAG and the closed USGI. It is also held in with elastic straps. Each costs 100.
Mag pouch (Closed, 2x ERMAG M4)
A closed mag pouch holding two 30-round ERMAG magazines. Each costs 200.
Mag pouch (Open, 12 gauge)
An open mag pouch holding 12 gauge shotgun shells inside the pouch and on the outside. Each costs 175.
Mag pouch (Open, USGI + 12 gauge)
An open mag pouch holding a 30-round STANAG magazine and 12 gauge shotgun shells on the outside. Each costs 175.

General purpose (GP) pouches are meant to store several types of small equipment.

GP pouch (large)
A pouch that is universal and can hold many things. Costs 20.
GP pouch (small)
A pouch that can hold anything that is small enough to fit in it. Costs 20.

Miscellaneous pouches hold special types of equipment.

Radio pouch
A small portable radio that fits halfway in a pouch. Costs 200.
Frag pouch
A pouch that can hold a single grenade inside of it. Each costs 20.
Dump pouch
A suspended pouch designed to hold several types of items temporarily. Each costs 20.

Equipment that is staged in the sub-abdominal region.

SAP
A sub-abdominal armor panel available only to certain plate carriers. Each costs 250.

Backpacks are designed to hold equipment that otherwise would not be well-retained on a vest. All backpacks except the Assault packs change color depending on the color of the player's vest.

AN/PRC-155
A man-portable radio wrapped in fabric. Costs 1700.
Assault pack (tan)
A small assault backpack in the color tan. Costs 350.
Assault pack (black)
A small assault backpack in the color black. Costs 350.
E-2 Daypack
A compact backpack with a handheld radio. Costs 550.
Hydration pack
A small backpack containing hydration equipment to include a bladder and line running over the shoulder. Costs 220.
M-9 Medpack
A rectangular backpack designed for combat medics. Costs 1100.
Rucksack
A larger backpack designed for long-distance movements and multi-day sustainment. Costs 660.
SlickPack
A low-profile assault pack. It is based on the Haley Strategic Flatpack. Costs 470.

Flag patch (United States)
A flag of the United States. It has a yellow-ish border surrounding the entire patch. Costs 20.

Flag patch (United Kingdom)
A flag of the United Kingdom. However, this flag is the IR variant of the UK flag. Costs 20.

A flag of France. Costs 20.
Rabbitkiller8's patch
Rabbitkiller8’s patch is a community made patch created by its respective user Rabbitkiller8, an artist on the PLATINUM 5 discord. It features a operator on the black side of the patch enabling his NVG, saying “You can’t see”, and on the light green side saying “but I can”. Which is a reference to the fact that he has NVG’s on therefore can see better than the enemy. It is only obtainable through the orange crate, which unlocked through the orange quest. It was added in the 2020 Halloween Event.
enealuse's patch
enealuse’s patch is a community made patch created by its respective user enealuse, an artist on the PLATINUM 5 discord. It feature a red background, with a white Jeep, white Japanese text on the top which says "DRIFT YOUR CAR", and bigger text next to the Jeep which also says "DRIFT YOUR CAR" in 3 separate lines. It is only obtainable through the orange crate which is unlocked through the orange quest. It was added in the 2020 Halloween Event.
KENEMONY's patch
KENEMONY’s patch is a community made patch created by its respective user KENEMONY, an artist in the PLATINUM 5 discord server. It features a simple smiling white skull in the shape of a roblox avatars head wearing a white beret. There are 2 stars on the left and, right side of the patch. It is the most used patch out of the 3 patches. It is only obtainable through the orange crate which is unlocked through the orange quest. It was added in the 2020 Halloween Event.
Blood type patches
Patches that show your blood type. There are numerous patches, not just one. Each costs 20.

A nameplate is a plate in the back of the vest that says your role or anything that your comrades may need to know in combat. Currently, there is only purchasable one nameplate. Nameplates are obscured by most backpacks.

Medic
A nameplate with a black background with the white letters, “medic” for players who want to role play or just players who have it for fun.
Military Police
A nameplate with a black background with white letters, "Military Police" for players who want to role play or just players who have it for fun. To obtain this nameplate, you must get it from the Orange crate quest that is completed during the 2020 Halloween Event, you cannot buy it from the store.
Press
A nameplate with a black background with white letters, "Press" for players who want to role play or just players who have it for fun. To obtain this nameplate, you must get it from the Orange crate quest that is completed during the 2020 Halloween Event, you cannot buy it from the store.
Instructor
